Born in Queens, NY, 1987 where I first started my journey in the art world learning how to draw in 3D perspective, on a television program called Imagination Station. At 10 years old my mom and I moved to Somerset, New Jersey and it is where I really got to explore my artistic ability. The elementary school that I attended was geared towards art and in high school I took many art classes. 3D's Max Studio 3 and Adobe Photoshop 6 were the first programs I enjoyed using. During my junior year in high school I took an advanced Maya 4.5 computer animation class at SVA in New York.
After getting to Savannah College of Art and Design, which had amazing facilities for my choice of study, I decided to pursue Visual Effects as my major. In 2009 I graduated with a B.F.A in Visual Effects.
Upon graduation, I moved back to the East Coast and began interning at Chop Wood Carry Water, a small production studio in lower east side of Manhattan. At Chop Wood I was exposed to the production pipeline assisting with rotoscoping, capturing footage, and editing spots for Nick at Nite and other clients.
My time was also split, working with contemporary artist Federico Solmi. During my time with Federico, I learned Source, a 3D game engine developed by Valve to create videos for his installations. Russel Lowe, a professor at the University of South Wales, Australia, has been collaborating with Federico and with whom I was fortunate enough to spend time to learn more about Source, editing textures, models, and environments for Garry's Mod.
I continue to work with Federico on his videos and freelance as a Visual Effects artist. Visual Effects is what I enjoy doing and look forward to greater experiences, exposure, and contribution to the art world.
